The Distant Feat
Slouched shoulders and tired feet
Scampered through the endless lands
To witness that distant feat,
Across the heaps of hot sand!
Scared and vacant eyes searched,
Some bustling echoed through the cold air,
A hesitant step; startled,
Oh, into the Dead’s Lair....
Racing footprints through the lost
To witness that distant feat.
Not at any cost
Into the dark void of defeat!

This piece gives a glimpse of the competitive world we live in where we forget to stop and embrace the horizon of joy. This poem keeps up a rhythmic flow to make the background creepy.
