I am from mucky creeks
From duct tape and string
I am from the beaten, chipped pool
And the huge oak tree
I am from the maple that scraped my knees
Whose leaves changed with the seasons
I am from trampolines and sheds
From Gallagher and Mason
I am from do it yourself and working hard
And from fire pits with the neighbors
From night swimming in the backyard
I am from Bob and Randy
From pizza and s'mores
From the navy ship
And the general's boots
I am from the moments I lived
