When I was happy
I remember sitting under the bridge.
Looking at the red orange sunset, about to be leaving forever.
I remember kites going by with a buzz, the slow rumble of the cars on the bridge.
I remember sitting under the bridge, anxious to be leaving.
I remember sitting under the bridge with my dad, eating ice cream in the warm sun.
I remember playing in the park with leaves in my hair, while playing tag with my brother.
I remember my mom braiding my hair under a tree, across from the bridge.
I remember when I was happy.
