BAT BIT
“AHHHHHHHHHH, get it off of me”, I screamed.
“If you stop moving it would probably fly away”, my dad yelled.
When we were about to leave the house to go to the campsite and see a rare bat in Michigan called the tri colored bat. It took us about five hours to get there and on the way we started to play a game called “I Spy”.
“ I Spy with my little eye something blue”, my dad said in a soft voice.
“ The sky” I said in a soft but quiet voice. “ I wonder if he will ever shut up and leave me alone”, I thought to myself.
“ Do you really want to play I Spy with me”, said my dad in a happy yet quiet voice.
It took me a while but I finally answered my dad after 30 minutes.
“ No dad I don't want to play I Spy, it is a boring game and I never wanted to play because you keep saying blue as the color and I never wanted to play from the beginning of the trip to see a stupid bat you call the tri color bat and I don't even know if the thing is real”, I said in a mean and loud voice. “ I’m glad I got that out of the way”, I thought to myself.
“Hey shawn are you going to take a picture of the bat?” said my dad.
“ NO NO NO NO NO NO”, I screamed.
“ Well sorry for asking”, said my dad in a sarcastic voice.
“it's just I’m not a little kid anymore, I don't like that game it's stupid”, I said.
When we got to the campsite we went to sleep because it was 3:00 in the morning. We were walking for a while but when we got to the place we stopped and stared at the Tri-color bat. I seen a stick nearby and I walked over and picked it up and started swinging at the bat. When it woke up I thought “is my life over”. The bat was struggling to get out of my hair, I was as blind as a bat. My dad ran and grabbed the bat and let it go but it came back and it bit me. “Am I going to be a vampire”, I thought. When I got up my dad started to clean the blood off on my neck and my head. On the way home my dad was yelling at me and telling me to never hit a bat with a stick again. When we go home I went to my room and slept the pain away and almost rolled off my bed. I learned never hit a bat with a stick or you will get bit because you will have a scar and you would feel a little loopy from the bite and think everyone are bats that will try to bite you.
