Red and White
White. Snow.
As in the frozen ice in life that falls upon the roofs softly,
So nice
How the children wait
for Santa to create
The numerous footprints leading to the chimney
White
What color so
Pure. So
Bright
White. Light
Upon light
light up the night
Quiver under the wind’s shiver
And cold created in the bones
That are not covered in sweaters, and scarfs, the blankets and socks
Red.
As in the blood that bleed in vain or purpose, a grinch can destroy or create, naughty or nice, all based off of our frozen energy
Red.
As in the cheeks of children decorating trees, tinsel stuck on hairs and knees, slipping on ice and skiing through the sky, having snowball fights in this frozen energy
Red
As in the truth
The truth of faith in these colors
the truth of celebration in these colors
Yes
Some are cold and some are warm
Yes
Some too old and some too young
Yes
Some have presents and some have air
Yes
The world is split from a common pair to contrasting positions in this time of year and one’s tradition can conflict another’s religion
But let me tell you the truth
This time of year has less to do with the cost
That cost less to buy things for yourself
When someone else
could get them for you themselves
It has less to do with the sight of the cold snow that end up right beneath the small shoes of the wondrous children feeling so high compared to their height
Colors
Red and White
The colors in the night
When trees go up
And Santa Claus is blown up, on the front porch
And the reindeers light up on your yard
Red. Blood. Love
White. Light. Pure. Perfection.
White for he was so pure, that God took the definition of perfection and gave it breath, hand it life in the form of a man
Red.
For his blood will later be spilled on the soil from his veins
So that in his name
We can break our carried chains
We celebrate,
His earth-given birthday
Red and White
White for the happiness in one's heart, that these days ask you to give to others so their hearts may start to beat with the Red, love that you have obtained
So same
Is the mentions of the intentions of a parent to child that should make an example for every human to human
Love. Red.
Should be felt around
Should have different names, for these different people are your
White. Light. But if Red, Love is not contained on this day
Then look up.
Cause his Red, love,
Should be enough
To fill this holiday with such and much more with White. Red. Love. Light. Happiness.
These colors the tradition calls, remember that, and Happy Holidays, I pray, would be given to you all

What inspired me to write the piece was the two colors people mostly associate with christmas, I thought, "How can I represent these colors, not only for religious people, but also people who are not religious?" My christian group was having a Christmas party with the Gay Straight Alliance club and I wanted to show them that the holiday means so much to so many people, including me. Christmas to me has never been so much about the gift than the people around you. I hope people can get this sort of purpose on the holiday to try and make someone's day. Whether it's giving a present, or giving a favor, or anything, it's a day to celebrate his birth and make the people he love so much, happy.
