it's a pose

posing for the
perfect look,

only to miss
by a million miles
so out of reach

reality is
spinning tables

too much for her
but its to come
time is overdue
now’s her turn,

though she wonders
which ones gives her
paradise realty
none exists
but it keeps her going,
feeding off dreams
too silly to realize
but when tables
slow, she will know

protecting shield,
silly faces
