The Story of the Prince and the Princess
This story opens with a pair
of children three years old
at a glorious wedding ball;
that danced ‘round brash and bold.
The prince’s aunt was being wed
and he bore the two rings.
The young princess sprinkled flowers
as far as eyes could see.
The night was over. They went home
hating to be apart,
but both of them missed the other
with sad and sorrowed hearts.
Don’t you worry friend; don’t you fret,
for they will meet again
at another wedding party
that sadly also ends.
Years go past, they grow apart and
she forgot ‘bout the prince.
They didn’t meet again ‘til their teens,
and much had happened since.
The prince still loved the girl he met
when they were only three.
The princess did not know this ‘cause
he would not let her see.
They split again, but she needed
a date to her own ball.
She wrote to him and asked him this.
The prince answered the call.
They had fun and part again.
Can’t they stay together?
For years and years he tried his best,
but he could not get her.
The first two tries were in vain.
She kept rejecting him.
The third time is always the charm,
even when it looks grim.
They both were happy the third time,
and they were feeling great.
They both understood it then and
knew it’s not a mistake.
So what is going happen?
Where will our heroes be?
I’m afraid I can’t tell you yet.
You’ll have to wait and see…
