This picture, it was special. The way he looked at me,
he looked so restless.

He always shared with me, Jell-O, Coffee, and peanuts
He yelled “GIRL DON’T YOU GET ME IN TROUBLE”.

Candy and cartoons was all we did, when my mother
Came home I would tell a little fib.

After school I would run
In the house yelling “GRANDAD, GRANDAD, GUESS WHAT HAPPEN TODAY”

As he looked at me with a smile on his face

Now all I can think is, is he really gone?
My best friend and protector I guess it’s real.
This would change the way I feel; Sad, Tired, and lonely.

“Oh Robert” as my grandmother would say.
Nope, I wouldn’t hear that anymore.
