Black And Blue

My favorite color combination is black and blue
It's how my skin looks when you are through
The bruises you leave tattoo my body
You plant them there as if to say "You must remember me"
As if I could forget you, although I often try
But you visit me and leave your mark so memories won't die
Your favorite color combination is undoubtedly cream and green
The color when my bruises fade and you can re-create the scene
I'm used to the colors spread a rainbow on my skin
It hurts much less on the outside than how it feels within
