Guilty of Fear
Hope, it is the only thing stronger than fear.
Our hope is hidden by anger, cruelty, fear.
But we all need that little flame, the flame that
keeps us going when we face brutality: Fear.
The people who shoot us down, even when we
are already on the ground, seeing no loyalty. Fear.
Our families are friends (but you and I are not friends)
Act like friends, but it’s something called ingenuity. Fear.
The lost soul, trying to make amends,
trying to put on that face to show humanity. Fear.
Not being the same, being different in every way.
What is so bad about individuality? Fear.
We are afraid of the inevitable; we are scared
to face the truth, not ready to be found guilty of fear.
