You see so many grown-ups complaining

Our generation is failing

Their waging their fingers and shaming

For something that we can't help

Well let me start advising

The average IQ of children is rising

And teen pregnancy is the lowest its been in a long time

Yet you still think we're a crime

You claim we're a stain on this world

On this nation

And that our future is dim and grim

Well let me tell you, we're doing great

In the world that you've ruined

You cry and complain

Nothing goes your way

Well let me tell you something

We've all been chained for years

And when we finally fight back

You scream you're the victim

And you say it was great being a kid

That you could play outside without being abducted

We can't do that now though

Cause it's you and your children

That are beating and killing us children

And I guess in conclusion

I'm saying this nation is screwed up

Because you scream about a flag being taken down

And not about innocent people being taken down.

This was a very fiery poem I wrote while I was very angry and I think it really highlights some problems we have here in the U.S. This poem was meant to be read aloud by me so the beat may seem off and I apologize about that.
