What is this world coming to?
All these struggles in life I don’t know what to do
People lying people dying
Children fighting children crying.
With their bombs and their tanks
They choose to kill and attack
Camouflage representing honor?
Or camouflage representing blood in water
How do you sleep with murder in your mind
You sleep knowing you’ll go home in time?
What is it like being ordered to kill
Blasting people as if it was a thrill
How would you feel if you were staring into the eyes
Of your own brother?
Pilling bodies on top of each other
Would you change your mind
About how many people you kill in time?
Will you drop your gun and write a rhyme
About the army and how they can’t sleep at night
About the general and what they have on their mind?
About these men not being able to look in the mirror
For fear of what they’ve become
They’ve killed so many, I bet they feel numb
They wake up screaming, what have I done.
