the pain of parting
is nothing to the
joy if meeting again.

Things have happened suddenly,
And I haven’t been alright
I’m saying this so sadly,
As I’m going completely out of your sight.

We have planned to move to a new place,
For our remaining days.
I’ll have got only photos to gaze,
It’s like I’ve stuck up in a maze.

To stay away from my friends,
And my good old teachers,
I sure can’t see their relationships end,
And I could never forget their features.

Friends, they were hard to find,
It seems harder to leave,
It’ll be impossible to erase them from my mind.
I would be found nowhere here by Christmas eve.

I’m travelling overseas,
Far to the prairies,
I would have nothing to take with me,
Except the happy old memories.

I’m drenched in the miserable rain,
I don’t know who will wash away my pain,
But still I’ll pretend to be alright,
Even if I’m going completely out of your sight.

what made me write this poem is getting apart from my friends because of my father's promotion.being apart from friends has a very bitter taste.
