Fought, Died but Im proud
I’m proud of what I’ve got through
I’m proud of what I did.
I wasn’t the one behind them all
The one who always hid.
I went out there,
And did it for my nation
I didn’t stop there,
I didn’t get off at the next station.
So I carried on,
I believed it could be done.
Killing and fighting,
I’m not saying it was fun.
The dangerous weapons,
The dangerous men.
It was the thirty of them,
Against us ten
We deserved freedom,
We deserved our rights.
There was no time to sit there,
It was time to switch on the lights
Their time was over,
It was our time to shine.
We made the difference,
But our army no had nine
I’m glad I did though,
I hope all the best
To all my fellow mates
And of course the rest.
