A Place Called Yosemite
A Place Called Yosemite
There is a place in California called Yosemite. I have heard many stories about it but nothing could prepare me for my encounter. The long drive to get into the valley allowed me to get a glimpse of the beauty surrounding me. We drove up to Glacier Point which people say has the best view. We reached our destination and I stepped out of the RV. Frozen. I was a statue with my mouth wide open in awe. There are really no words that can describe Yosemite National Park or the way I felt when I reached it. Its mountains tumbled into the horizon. They have no beginning and no end. I thought it was a picture. But no, what I saw was real. With the smell of the California Black Oak trees that surrounded me like a blanket. And the view of the magnificent mountains. I thought to myself that heaven is not above me, but right in front of my eyes. I never knew what happiness felt like before. My heart stopped and I could not move. All it took was one glance. One glance and I felt the pure bliss of finding my happiness.

This is about my experience visiting Yosemite National Park in 2013. I love the national parks and I can not wait to visit them again.
