The wheels begin to grind
As I pull into the drive
I open the car door effortlessly and take a glance
The front entrance of the house has been left dangling on its hinges
I peer inside to hear the sound of partying students
The music is banging to the newest hit
And the lights are beginning to twitch
I step inside to find a reckless society
Celebrating their latest victory
They step onto the dance floor and begin to dance
Their bodies moving perfectly with the musical rhythm
I wish I could be daring enough to position myself in their shoes
Then at the stroke of midnight, my wish came true
I heard somebody call my name
And suddenly, I was the life of the party.
