The Farm

Scars rip through the Earth,
Its surface cramped and smoldering.
As machines of destruction tread on the soil and air,
They leave prints that aren’t so easily removed.
Meanwhile, slaves with no hope of true life,
Wait for their impending doom.
They suffocate themselves as they try to move.
Their life is a horror,
Living in their own filth.
Their waste is toxic,
As well as their meat.
Their keepers are full of greed,
Hurting others of their own just for money.
They are carless and do not think clearly.
The things they feed their slaves to make them immortal,
Only make themselves sicker.
Then their waste gets into rivers and lakes,
As many don’t realize it.
This contaminated liquid is not water,
And is then fed through tap.
This isn’t what these were made for,
It was made to prevent disease itself.
This liquid creates a hole in our defense,
And a space for our nemeses to grow in.
New strands begin to appear,
And we cannot respond.
To a certain degree,
We are all just insects.
If we cannot adapt,
We are then squished.
Like others before us,
We may cease to exist.
To solve this problem,
It really isn’t too hard.
Boycott the ones that do such as this,
And make others conscious of this dilemma.

Farms in today's world don't truly have the best intensions for mankind. They use pesticides that can hurt the environment and damage populations. Many cram their livestock in small areas and basically torture them. They feed them antibiotics to make them grow faster and be immune to many diseases. But what goes in must come out. Their antibiotic waste is rained upon or in other ways transferred to the aquifers and other bodies of water. This water is then fed threw a tap water source for our consumption. With this the bacteria start to grow new strands as they themselves become immune to the antibiotics. This only creates more work to find more cures to these new strands of bacteria. Don't support the farms that do so and let others now about it.
