Every wave eventually comes to shore

Hello! Welcome to my humble abode. Sorry about the lights, I perfer it to be dark. Oh and dont mind the mess. Where are my manners? I'm depression. I don't really know why I'm here but...here I am! I try to be a good tenant. I don't have many friends. Sometimes though I invite over my girlfriend anxiety or my cousin PTSD.

Uh oh the landlord is coming...

Why is he still here? Whatever I do I can't get him out of my head. I'm in therapy, I'm on medication, I'm trying to use coping skills but depression just won't move out. People don't understand. It's like they think that I asked him to live with me. The worst is when he has people stay over. Deppression, anxiety, and PTSD, staying up all night making so much noise that I can't fall asleep.

I try to be a good landlord. I try to fix his complaints. Like when depression calls as says:

"Hey my sister anhedonia is coming over, can we not do anything today?"

I try to save my energy by not doing things I like too. Or if I'm doing school work and anxiety asks me to stop because its keeping her up...I stop.

I was going to fail anyway.

If I could change anything, it would be PTSD. He makes such a mess with my memories.

At this point, I don't really know what to do. I've tried kicking him out but he pays his rent.

I guess I'll have to kill him.

It sounds morbid I know, but all of them are having a party tonight and i have a project that is already three days late and two quizzes to make-up this week and my drivers test is coming up and my SATs are schedueled for next month...

Theres just one problem. If I get rid of depression, then there will be room for someone else to move in.

I was inspired to write this by my personal struggle with mental illnessess. It helps to realize that the illness isnt a part of you. People I've talked to say that they feel that they are depression or anxiety etc. If you see the illness as an unwanted visitor, it could help you overcome the difficult moments.
