As our freshman year ends....
Freshman year flew by...
Now,we reminisce as we endure
Our last week of our first year of high school
Now,we clean out lockers and retu books
And say goodbye to our friends
And those few patient seniors
Who guided us through our first year of high school
We've experienced so much this year
Our first homecoming dance
The first football games we actually cared about watching
Our first real,true friendships
And for some of us,our first relationships
Which we quickly learned don't last forever
As some of us had our first break-ups
The class of 2018 was taught big life lessons this year
From simply supporting one another through school
To comforting each other after a loss
These things brought us so much closer
Still,we all went in different directions this year
Starting our journey to finding ourselves
At first,we were afraid and intimidated
Losing our way,Forgetting combinations
Being too scared to ask for help
Now we find ourselves braver, bolder, calmer, and friendlier
We found our passions this year
Some of us are performers
Some of us are technically inclined
Some of us are athletic
And,some of us are all three or more
We're going to watch some of our best friends graduate this year
And,we can only think that one day
That will be us,and
There will be another freshman
Feeling mixed emotions as their friends head off
To facing the real world for the first time
We're going to welcome the new freshman
With open arms and smiles
The same way our newest friends treated us
Only a year ago
When we were walking through those doors
With our hearts and minds racing but ready
To take on the challenge that was our freshman year
Now,as we stand here going through our final week of this school year
We can only wait and hope
That our sophomore year will be just as good
