From battles of old,
We've learned to resolve,
To issues of new,
Yet we've fallen,
But we learn to cope,
While people tear us down,
We get back up,our tears are thick and liquid,
Like the blood we carry,
The blood we bleed is red,
As red as the sunset,
We have turmoil within is,
Yet our mask is as tranquil as a sound,
Therefore hiding our real feelings,
While we live there will be issues,
just remember our lessons from the battles of old,
We've felt like we have no one,

Yet we have almost everyone,
Sometimes it feels like we have nothing,
Yet we have almost everything,
We have to have courage to continue,
Faith in something to believe things will get better,
And to have hope for a successful future,
When things get rough we have to rethink,
We have to reevaluate our situation,
And learn from our battles of old,
We will be oppressed,
But never defeated,
For we are strong,
For we are the bravest as we have been through the hardest things life gives us,
We will NOT be defeated by life.

The author's comments:

The reason I wrote this was because I constantly have seen people down and thinking that they are alone as they go through hardships, and I want people to know that they are NOT alone, to have some Courage and stand tall. And my writing it seemed like a good way to do it.

I do like your use of line breaks, and the tempo. I do feel like the flow and syllable count could use some work, but it's a good piece :). Placing words in different places and playing with the poem like that would be very beneficial to this. Keep writing!

Everybody walks past a thousand story ideas every day. The good writers are the ones who see five or six of them. Most people don’t see any.

I like It!! Good Job! People like you are what this world needs!
