Thoughts
I've run out of places to hide the thoughts that shouldn't be inside my head
My drawers are filled with grief and pools of secret tears I've shed
My closet is nothing but racks of broken things and angel wings
Under my bed stores all the things I wish I'd said
Perhaps there's room down in this cellar
It's damp and dark and cool
It's a quiet shelter
It's deep beneath the ground
It almost feels like miles
In fact,
I think I'll stay here for
A while
