My Haven

My room is a haven
It's a hill in a flood
It keeps me safe and protected
From those that do me harm
When my head aches
And my heart feels low
I lock the gate to my fort
To keep at bay the battering shells
My room keeps me safe
While I collect my thoughts
And fill my heart with joy
And when I'm ready I charge out the door
And into those shells of fate
