The One Who Got Away
Escape we must
None to trust
The men are lions
Coal miners chasing diamonds
Follow and hunt us
What a huge fuss
Many men move maliciously
Won’t end civilly
It has begun
Time to run
Hearts break like fallen glass
Hope pain will pass
Run through the hall
Please no one fall
Search and scan
The best we can
To find who’d betray
Friends in a fray
Darkness hugs all around
Hiding who wish not found
Like blanket and baby
Wrapped in safety
Shall we find success
Or much less
Revenge do we seek
Or his calling mystique
Pinhole of light
Grows bright
Senses melt away
How does it feel, wish I could say
