The Convict Of His Shackled Mind
Sitting outside with darkness in shed,
Yet darkness lighter than thoughts of sin in my head.
Contemplating where our lives would be lead
Thinking about what shall come before of what we think ahead.
We sit and try to understand what we are now and what we wish to become
It’s not about where we came from yet where we belong
Who am I?
Sitting in a room with silence.
I’ve never heard so much
Signs of depressions are sighs of of aggression which leads to confession
Ice in the veins of a child with pain
that is in vein
What a shame
Living and breathing thinking himself as a man in a kings world
What is a man to a king?
to them I’m a child walking in a man’s path trying to fit in the shoes of a king.
Sometimes a man feels like a prisoner in his own breech
Despite the ability to leave with the keys on the top shelf of his mind, he is not within reach.
Seeing a world so beautiful yet feeling so blind
He questions himself and asks
Where am I?
We ask one another
Begin to question but not bothered to answer
begin to question this section and lose sight of our imperfection
society brainwashes and claims that our opinion is locked in the minds of others
They tell us what wrong is wrong and whats right is right.?
What’ blue shall be blue and whats yellow shall be yellow.
Wake up everyday the same way
Things are same every day.
You sit and lay in your bed
Heavy thoughts sit in your head
Thoughts so heavy you can’t get up,
A heavy weight of burden pushing you down a well of despair
Something so heavy, but it has no weight
the weight of your conscious that drags the head down
Lower than the nose of a blood hound
Looking for a way out but you’re no where to be found
Lost
Lost in the state of confusion
Stuck in the illusion that all will be fine
Waiting for the sun to shine
Hoping the brightness will fill your mind
Hiding is your fears shadow
Unaware that fear is in your mind and you control it
Untangle your mind.
Untangle your mind and open your eyes
Life itself is an odyssey, yet could be short
Look around the corner
The beginning of life might be there.
Something you know can be lost
Something you feel will always be there
Blindness will unwind
Time will not
time lost cannot and will not return
The life of your own will be held againt yourself
Don’t waste others’ time
Don’t waste your time
Looking on the shelf of your mind
The keys aren’t there
The keys are gone
The keys were never there
Sorrow and bitterness fills the taste buds of your mind
Spit it out and speak up
Changing your life inside helps you
Expressing it helps others.

I wrote this in the October of 2013 and I've been having some hard times so I decided to take out some of my bitterness through writing.
