As the storm approaches,
I could hear the boisterous of the wind outside my window.
The heavy winds were hitting against my house,
with tremendous full force,
and the  vigorous rain drops,
were now coming down onto my roof,
making it impossible to sleep.
I kept hearing the creaking of the big maple tree,
that sits right in front of my house,
just swaying back and forth,
ready to topple over.

“BOOM” “CRACK”
The sound of thunder and lightning startled me,
I was frightened so much,
I nearly fell off my bed.
The cable started to go fuzzy,
the lights were flickering on and off
and the house started to shake.
Then all of a sudden,
“BOOM” CRACK”
The streak of lightning lit up the whole sky.
It had reminded me of fireworks,
on the fourth of July.
It lit up the atmosphere with dangerous power.

As electrons swept the sky,
from the east, to the west side of the state.
Pressure overwhelms the universe.
As the clouds started to turn a very dark black color,
it was like mother nature was getting angry,
throwing lightning bolts, and making strong winds.
The rain started to come down heavier and heavier,
the wind picking up a mere 50 miles per hour.
Neighbors and local residents around us prepare to take cover,
for the legendary storm.
