Basin of Water

The gentle plop
of a drop
of water
falling into
a basin
drip, drop
more drops
plop
into the pool
of the crystal clear water
the loud, harsh
blob-blob-blob
of bubbles rushing to
the top
of the basin
now full of
the water
as the air
leaves the lungs
of the submerged
lungs now full
of the water from
the pool
the man is moved away
drip-drop
fill the basin to the top
victim number two
is on his way
