When the ground is no longer under,
But strays desperately beyond reach,
The thoughts begin to softly slumber.

However memories break the breach,
For remember still in the lax mind,
Lessons one would inadvertently teach.

Time when jealously and hatred shined,
For pain lived as emblem of love,
And all beauty and heart were left blind.

Gazing notorious high above,
Earth below interminably gone for
Absent all memories that were belove’.

And for now, the children cry no more,
For above the mass of horrid discord.

This is a futuristic terza rima poem describing a situation in the future where humans must leave the earth.
