Fame and Fortune

Fame and Fortune were the best of friends.

They were together almost all the time.

Fame and Fortune went to the same school.

They were well-known, and they knew how to rule.

Fame was known for her beauty,

And everyone followed her around.

People were so closely attached to her

That they always seemed to be bound.

Fortune was known for his money,

And he never left home without it.

He always got what he wanted,

And with his money, he flaunted.

They loved their lives and all they had,

But one day, like always, came the bad.

Greed and Overconfidence burned down their house.

Now Fame and Fortune were as helpless as a mouse.

They lost their friends and all they had.

Fame and Fortune were now sure

That this happened because they did bad.

God had repaid them, and there was no cure.

This whole poem is just an example

Of what usually happens to the rich and famous.

They think that they can do anything,

But in reality, that's very dangerous.

Many think they earned what they have,

But God is the one that gives it to them.

If they would understand the consequences,

The rich and famous might not think they're a gem.

Don't be like one of those people,

Or you will regret your decisions.

Greed and Overconfidence will overtake you.

Just pray to God, and he'll give you provisions.

You don't need money and friends.

You don't have to follow trends.

God will give you some light.

Just keep fighting the good fight.
