I watch you walk out the door
You say “I’ll see you in a week,
So don’t be blue”
Sadness covers my eyes
For a while I feel empty inside
I sit there and wait for you
A week seems too long to be gone
Seven days have passed
I haven’t moved yet
Staring at the door
Hoping you’d walk in
Years go by
You still haven’t opened the door
