Brief Fatality
She was sweating, she was dying, she just wanted to go home,
But her love for the game could make her go on forever
The pain her chest though made the ever in forever seem impossible.
It didn’t feel like she was choking just as if she couldn’t grasp a hold of air
She felt weakness in her legs
Unexpectedly she felt wet rubber turf screw into her knees
Her face rested down next and she let a blacked-out blur overcome her mind.
She woke up, hushed breathing
She looked around cast in a delusional spell seeing the ambulance ceiling floating with rich pink lotuses
Then she breathed harder,
Then she breathed slower again, hearing the cooling voice of her mother in the ominous background
The doors opened which carried her mind back to a bitter-sweet reality.
