First things first: whoever in this class says girls don't play video games...
Really?
Say that to the Normandy SR2 model assembled on my shelf
Say that to the Bioware posters I covet above all else
Say that to the platforms PC, playstation and otherwise
to the plethora of discs, stacked high as they rise
to Dishonered, to Far Cry, to A Walk in the Dark
To Dragon Age, to Torchlight, to Diablo, and Spark
Don't get me started on leveling, or the AC games
Because we all know that Brotherhood was the last good one anyways
Try to bring up lore and I can shut you down
From Dwemer, to Blackreach, and what the Shimmering Isles surrounds
I've been to Pandora and Thedas, Tamriel too
I've saved Earth from the Reapers while playing straight blue
So don't tell me I don't game
And don't tell me I'm fake
Because I'm backed up by Shepard, the Sirens, and Solid Snake

The author's comments:

A boy in one of my classes (Creative Writing) said 'real girls' don't play video games. Generally, I don't care what people say about girls who game; I'm no activist, and I'm certainly not an avid defender in my off hours. But we were in creative writing, and he said something that could easily be written about, creatively. So, I did.
In some small way, he declared war.
