Friends and Enemies
When an enemy approaches it is instinct to Fight.
Fight for your dignity, fight for your life
to fight and protect what is left of your Spirits.
Spirits that were crushed, pummeled and Diminished.
Diminished by foes that use hate as their Weapon.
Weapons that shoot only bullets of deception.
deception which beckons betrayal and rage
yet sometimes it is best to just disengage.
Disengage from the instinct.
Disengage from the fight
Be the better man.
Be the one who is right
detach from your rage
and you will be free
Free from the weapons.
Free from your enemy
all your spirits that were once crushed and forgotten
will rise up and regrow,
so know
that when an enemy approaches it is instinct to fight
but sometimes that instinct might not be right.

Both friends and enemies, have the ability to taunt and threaten. I believe that the best thing to do in that situation is ignore it and move on. If one were to retaliate with a simialr threat, it could risk spreading the bubble of hate inside both people until they can no longer contain their darkest thoughts and they turn to action. I wrote this poem to convey this message and hopefully teach people to take the better path.
