A princesses castle
a pirate ship
sailing on the sees
oh my little treehouse
you are all of these-
a lovely place to get away
hidden among the trees.
When days are inferior
you are the light
my second home
my childhood.
Your armour is in your rotting wood
outside all green and brown
but inside I see memories
of past years and years to come
I climb up your wobbly ladder
all crooked bent and breaking
splintering my tiny hands
and into my safe haven
