The Future I Can't See
People ask me about the person I hope to someday become
But the answers I give them, honestly, are never only one
I want to be a doctor, an actor, a nurse, or maybe an engineer
Get rich and raise three kids beside the man I'll be with for the rest of my years

I'll be a traveler who sees the world in less than 80 days
Then settle down in a small town and rest while the sun fades
But underneath all my talks of what I'll do and who I wish to be
There's still a little girl who's scared and unprepared for the future she cannot see.
