Pizza

thick and cheesy
warm in the palm of my hand
plain cheese dripping over the edge
like molten lava
stepped into dominoes
the sweet smell of dough
wafts endlessly through
the air
large black brick ovens
stretch across the spacious kitchen
steam puffing out like it's an engine
underneath the heavy cheese
is a steamy layer of sauce
running along the underside
like the blood in my veins
in the end,
spending time with
my friends eating pizza
is my favorite
thing of all
