Up and Down
We dread the past and long for the future
Little by little it fades and becomes fewer
The love we receive, loyalty we deserve
It is not how it was, it might sound absurd
But soon it will be completely gone
It’ll finish, like any song
The moments we treasure
They were never going to last forever
All that was wanted was finally received
But a gift that good was never meant to be
For we thought we were on top, that nothing can push us down
Until we tripped and fell, face flat on the ground
Could it have been reversed?
It was as though we have been cursed
We feel so alone so helpless inside
For you’ve lost all hope and this is goodbye
Though it is very easy to loose hope
The journey is worth not giving up if you want it enough
