Loud classrooms and silent streets,
She sits and stands with no one,
She laughs with her brother,
Texts her crush every night,
Argues with her old crush’s girlfriend,
She gets threatened every other day,
Gets dirty looks in the hallways,
Walks by herself,
Talks to her  best friend about the  problems she’s  facing,
Cries on her  best friends  shoulder,
Gets told everything  is  going to  be  alright,
Tries  to  reach out  for  help but  gets nothing in return,
She thought  about  giving up on  breathing,
That  would  just  mean  they  are winning,
Instead  she  abuses drugs and  her curfew,
One day she  will eventually collapse,
Sometimes she  wishes  it  was  soon.
Depression is  a  mental illness and  it  plays  games in your  head. Just  try not  to  listen to  them . Other wise  they  will take  control of you. Just smile.

This  poem was  written because  there  are  many  people  who  have  depression  but  they  get  through  it. Not  many  of  them ignore  the  games  and  voices that  are  in  their  head. So  this  is for  people  who  think that  they  cant  make it  .
