Pause for a moment

There's a look in your eyes, it says that you're dead.
All of your feelings, all the thoughts in your head.
You don't seem to care, you don't even try-
how do you give up this easily, can you tell me why?
You don't even have answers, because you won't give yourself time-
you just keep running, just keep lying.
You won't take a breath, you won't look around,
you won't pause for a moment- you'd drown in the sound.
Why can't you listen to your heart?
You're only making a bigger mess;
keep pushing people away, and you'll love yourself less.
