Ocean Waves
As the sky darkens, the waves of the sea go higher.
Doesnt matter to her as the wind comes by and goes through her hair.
Shes worried and afraid, yes;
but she tells herself that what will happen was meant to happen and that makes her feel better.
The waves go higher and the wind stronger
She shivers.
She closes her eyes and keeps her head held high because in life thats what you have to do.
The waves grow darker and thunder flashes.
She gets even closer to the water.
Thats all her instincts tell her to do.
The waves come closer.
She doesn't move a muscle.
She doesn't even try to escape.
Freedom is among her and she knows it.
Freedom of all her thoughts and nightmares.
The people who kept her down.
Her loneliness and sadness will all be washed away.
The waves carry her.
They cleanse her mind and soul.
Her life flashes right before her eyes;
But doesn't struggle as the ocean buries her under its waves.
And with her, they wash away her pain.
