Autumn
The air is cold,
Like the mint gum I taste in my mouth.
The leaves are beautifully colored.
Autumn has arrived.
The trees sway in the chilly breeze,
Like arms of a crowd at a concert.
Leaves falling to their end with such grace,
Reds and oranges cover the ground.
The shining sun is out,
It’s bright rays providing little warmth.
The sky is light blue,
Clouds pepper it’s entirety.
Flocks of geese fly south,
For they know of the freezing winter approaching.
The wind is strong,
Blowing my platinum hair into my face.
The smell of leaves and rain
Fills the air.
This is it,
My favorite time of the year.
