the Girl
She was sitting on a bench.
Looking beyond this world;
She looks free,
happy.
She looks at you, into your soul…
There’s a brick wall.
It’s her hard times; she made it.
Night; as black as her past.
White dress flowing as she spins,
Going ‘round and ‘round in circles.
Thinking…
Who do I want to be?
My future,
My dreams,
My life…
She let’s go.
Slowly; the past is vanishing.
She wants to forget;
Be happy,
To live.

We did a poetry unit in class and I really enjoyed working on this unit. I hope people open their eyes to what goes on around them.
