Game Day
It was cold
Cold to the
Bone with that leftover
Winter breeze.
But nothing in this world
Would stop us from playing,
Playing the game we love.
I was starting, so I knew
My team, and my coaches
Trusted me.
As I stepped on to the
Mound to meet my team,
We glare at the other team.
They looked like detectives,
Trying to catch a glimpse of
Every noticeable thing.
As we went on with
Our warm ups, the ump
Called “play ball”
And we were ready to let
Loose and play ball.
