“Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.”-Dr.Seuss

Maybe if I close my eyes I'll go back to that place I like
The one with the roses, but without the spike
I liked that world or dream I was in
I didn't want to leave, and it felt like a sin
To want something so bad,but knowing you can't get it
Or hoping maybe you'll finally admit
That you were never made to crowd
It was time for me to say it out loud
I got up the courage and yelled my words
I kept on fighting, until my vision was blurred
The people vanished, and I was alone
I felt like the memory was the only thing I owned
My eyes opened and I realized it was dawn
And in a blink of an eye, my world was gone

Or maybe I was having a dream
One where I couldn't move or scream
But I watched as people walked by
As if i was invisible…not even a hi.
Maybe it was the pain of losing someone I truly loved.
And having the strength to let them rest above.
I could cry for days wishing they'd come back.
Maybe realizing that was an attack.
Because they left without getting a chance to fully live.
And we have no one else to blame so we forgive.
The hardest thing in the world is to let go.
I'm mistaken..its actually to not let your emotions show.
because you have to be strong..thats just what you do.
But your question in life is who's going to be strong for you.
Not yourself ..you've already let that go.
Not your family thats the lesson they show.
Not your friends because what are those?
Maybe thats a question no one knows.
So the emptiness you have left behind
Has followed you to find
the weakness you never revealed
hid is so well behind your shield.

Now your back in your back in the place you wanted to be.
People stop so they can see.
They finally notice the girl in the dark.
They see the life and the spark.
They sympathetically smile.
Because they haven't seen that girl cry in a while.
She finally left all those secrets behind.
What she lost was hers to find.
