It started with a slow tear
Uniting with the air
Showing nothing left to fear
Nothing worth her care

Overcome with the urge to ignore
Followed with a silent tone
Meaning the loss to feel anymore,
Learning the comfort of being alone

Soon she ceases to feel pain,
Releasing her frosty breath,
She'll never feel like this again,
Traces of thought meet death

It didn't happen in one day,
But inevitable that it'd end like this,
it's comforting in a way,
Drifting in a numb abyss,

I observed, unknowing of what to do,
My face seldom reflects emotion,
Flashing back to what I knew,
Surfacing the ache I'd once been through,

You'll learn that ignorance is never bliss,
And quite the contrary,
To feel is a sensation that I miss,
So why is oblivion exemplary,

Whilst nothing can touch me now,
I still prefer to sense,
But my mind is not sure how,
My soul is dead and plagued by pretense

I hide from the love that I long to crave,
I'm not capable of desires,
Love will not touch my body before the grave,
Not until I become one with fires,

It is that moment that I wait,
I won't allow others to grieve,
But only celebrate,
The moment that I leave,

I'll reach my one ambition,
Without my body I can see,
That to feel is not just a given,
But a rare ability.
