Untitled by Mary Corse

Sterile white
Bare enthrall
Riveting pale
Ambiguous essence

Piercing pleasure
Minimal beauty
Engulfing light
Vacant mind

Seducing trance
Intimate space
Speckled iridescence
Concealed spirit

Compressed approach
Distant retreat
Masked glimmer
Glassy eyes

Hospital hallways
Dazzling lights
Crystal comrades
Infinite beams

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem after visiting an art museum. This piece of art caught my eye because it was just a plain white piece, but when you got close you could see the small bits of glitter in it. I instantly fell in love with it.

This is a cool poem by itself, but I really like the backstory! Could you check out my poem? TeenInk.com/poetry/free_verse/article/672369/Why-is-Why-So-Hard-to-Answer/?page=1
