Procrastination
The load starts light,
Easy to ignore,
Easy to be pushed aside for another time,
So you do,
And the end comes later.
The load grows cumbersome,
Now noticeable,
Now bothersome to push aside,
Yet you do,
And the end comes later.
The load becomes a burden,
A festering nightmare,
A chore not to be pushed aside,
But you do,
And the end comes later.
The load crushes you,
The days grow shorter and the nights longer,
The weight is impossible to push aside,
Yet you continue to try,
But sometimes the end cannot come later.
