Next time you'll notice
That girl sitting at lunch by herself.
Or the boy who never seems to have
Anyone to talk to.
Maybe next time you will
See her scars
Or the bruises that
Aren't from practice last night,
No matter how much they
Try to convince you they are.
Hopefully you'll see that she got drunk,
Because sober
She can't handle anything.
After a drink she's stronger.
Let's see if you realize,
There's more to people
Than what you think.
Next time you'll notice
That everyone is fighting
The same battles as you.
