Windy cold white and bold
winter treats and snow covered streets
some may say winter is getting old
but some enjoy the winter cold
and the taste of grandmother's sweets
and secret snowball meets on the freshly plowed streets
some say winter is a ghostly season
but they have no rhyme or reason
the reason the birds fly south
is to find food for their young-ling's mouth
winter is a time to be free
and not go on a winter hating spree.
