Journey Poem
At the tennis court
on a bright sunny day
the court bright green
showing lots of wear today
Tennis balls bouncing everywhere
in many different ways
pulling you to a different decision
leaving you alone as everyone leaves to come another day
The court is all lonesome
on a calm chilly day
everyone abandons the old worn tennis courts
where so many people used to play
You can choose which way you want the ball to go
just aim and serve that way
the outcome may not be what you want
but don't give up that day
You will be pulled many different directions
but you have to choose which way is best
think of the consequences of each
before you choose to aim west
Be unique and choose for yourself
don't follow the other balls
for they may lead you to the wrong choice
and bounce back off the walls
Just do what's best for you
some may follow too
but don't be a follower
be your own leader
