Corn chucks fall
In the black of night
Where the birds don’t fly
As a hurricane rises
At the dead of nine
The midnight moon
Shines a speck of light
On the ground
Below the storm cloud
The silence grows
At the time of gloom tweets and cheeps
Fill the world from morn to noon
